Adhunik Power And Natural Resources (APNRL) is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) owning and operating a 2x270 MW coal based thermal power plant in Padampur, Saraikela-Kharsawan, Jharkhand State. APNRL inaugurated its first unit of 2x270 MW coal fired thermal power plant on 16th October 2012.

Adhunik Power And Natural Resources (APNRL) is operating for about 10 years. The Project is 2x270 MW (Gross) coal fired power plant located in Padampur in Saralkela-Kharsawan district and is about 20 kms from Jamshedpur. The power from the project is being evacuated through CTU substation (PGCIL) located very near to the power plant site. APNRL signed Long Term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) directly with Jharkhand State Electricity Board, WBSEDCL (PTC) and TANGEDCO. APNRL built this 2x270 MW power plant through BTG and multiple BOP contracts. Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited was the Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) Contractor responsible for Boiler Turbine Generator package and they provided complete BTG ; auxiliaries excluding civil works. All other balance of plant systems and civil works were executed through multiple BOP package contractors. Water requirement for the power plant is fulfilled from Subarnarekha River which about 10 km from the plant.

Brainstorming session on boiler operation held at Adhunik Power
A brainstorming session on boiler operation, maintenance and safety was held in the workshop organized at Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited here on Monday. Many operational issues and remedial was discussed for the better performance of boiler during the session....
A one-day workshop was enthusiastically attended by the representatives of the others plants as well. TSG Narayanan, Technical advisor, Central Boiler Board was the chief guest and keynote speaker while S N Verma, Chief Inspector of Boiler, Jharkhand was the guest of honour on the occasion. Several topics like common issues of boiler and remedial, safety, new & innovative technologies, spare procurement and different boiler Acts were discussed.
Chief guest TSG Narayan, said by following safe operations and maintenance practices will enhance boiler efficiency and energy conservation. Guest of Honour S N Verma said, he is happy to see delegates of companies has shown their keen interest in participating in such kind of informative seminar.
Arun Kumar Mishra, CEO, Adhunik Power also said the objective of the workshop was to create awareness on regulatory framework for boiler, efficient boiler operation, safety and maintenance.
The workshop was attended by professionals from different industries named Rahul Nigam, Rabindra Singh, Karan Dewangan (Tata Steel Long Products), J P Yadav (Neelanchal Steel & Power Limited), Biplob Kumar Roy (Rungta Mines), Gaurav Baware (Tata Power), VSV Giridhar, Vivek Pandey (Amalgam Steel) and Dinesh Ravichandran (Sara Industries) while Arun Kumar Mishra, M N Singh, NSP Rao, S N Yadav, S S Parida and Tarun Kumar from Adhunik Power participated in the workshop. The participants actively interacted with the speaker and raised their queries and concerns.
